the view from above

Eating dinner with your feet on the ground is so passe. That's right. Imagine eating a four course meal hanging from a crane, 150 feet above the ground. Dinners, events, meetings even weddings are occuring high in the sky, with Dinner in the Sky. Australia, Hungary, Belgium, Sweden, Lithuania are only a few out of twenty-five countries that participate in this adventure. So next time you're in Las Vegas or Florida be sure to join the "Mile High Club" and stop by one the most unusual restaurants on this side of the atmosphere.

  1. Wow thats amazing...I took a trip to Las Vegas a couple of summers ago and went on the highest thrill ride in the entire world (at least that's what they told me) and it was amazing. The rides were on top of the Stratosphere Hotel and at night, which is when I went, the view of the Vegas strip all lit up at 1,200 feet up was breathtaking to say the least. That Dinner in the Sky thing sounds awesome too. Heres a lind to the rides I went on..http://www.stratospherehotel.com/thrills/

  2. Wow thats really cool and at the same time really crazy. I'm terrified of heights so I highly doubt I'd ever be able to eat anything that high up much less keep anything down. Call me a whimp but just this past summer I finally mustered up the courage to go on the Superman coaster at 6 flags. Lol.

  3. This is so cool, thank you for posting this! Isn't it interesting how in a recession people will find all kinds of new and creative ways to still get business for their enterprises? Sometimes it seems like this could be deemed as a little gold lining to a huge problem as people are stepping outside their comfort zones and clearly starting to think much more creatively at how to make this world a more exciting and forward moving place.

  4. I had no idea that anything like this existed! I'm so glad that you posted this. Although the whole height thing would freak me out it would be such a great experience! Definitley not your average dinning experience.

  5. I saw something about the one in Las Vegas on one of the entertainment news shows a few months ago, but I didn't realize there were things like this around the world. It definitely seems like an interesting experience. I don't know if I personally would have the courage to do it, but it does look really cool.

  6. Dude, wicked cool post! I am curious though, what are you supposed to do about bathroom breaks. 4 courses sounds great as long as you aren't holding more than a couple of drinks in your bladder. Is there a maximum drink count? Is it considered a hazard to serve Mexican food at that height? All of these things to consider.
